MIT Sloan Fellows MBA Program
Putting ideas into action is fundamental to MIT’s approach to knowledge creation, education, and research. In the Sloan Fellows MBA program, you will find a change-the-world toolkit. You'll explore a curriculum focused on management fundamentals and the program's three pillars: leadership, innovation, and global perspective. Choose from electives, industry projects, and independent research to pursue your passions.
You have the choice to earn an MBA, a Master of Science in Management, or a Master of Science in Management of Technology. The degree you decide to pursue will determine whether you must complete a thesis.
If you decide to pursue an SM in Management or an SM in Management of Technology, you'll complete a thesis—individually or with a co-author. If you pursue an MBA, you are not required to complete a thesis, but you are welcome to do so. Alumni who have opted to write a thesis emphasize the significant impact that their research had in transitioning them to new roles within their organizations.
