Janina Shivdasani is a Policy and Communications Research Assistant at the MIT Climate Policy Center, where she translates MIT’s cutting-edge energy research into actionable policy recommendations. A Senior at Wellesley College majoring in Economics with a minor in Physics, she authors the monthly CPC newsletter's Policy Insights section on topics including retail electricity pricing and demand response mechanisms, and has built stakeholder ecosystems to inform state EV policy across Battery Belt states. Janina is passionate about market-based climate solutions that advance both efficiency and equity in the energy transition.
