Double Major Roadmap: Course 15-1 Management & Course 2-A Mechanical Engineering

This roadmap is an ‘MIT student optimized’ guide for structuring your schedule. Course 15 always encourages you to choose courses based upon interest, not by which ever checks off the most boxes. Please read the footnotes for additional options and email ugeducation@sloan.mit.edu or come see us in the Program Office (E52-150 Suite 133) to discuss.  Subjects that fulfill both Course 15 and Course 2A requirements are bold.

Notes:
115.312is no longer being offered. Students who have previously taken 15.312 can substitute this course for 15.301.
2Contact the Sloan Undergrad Office for alternative optionsfor the Probability & Statistics requirement. Please note, the course or courses must cover BOTH Probability and Statistics in depth, similar to 15.069.
314.01 is a HASS subject . 15.0111 is not a HASS subject..If students take 15.0111, the 9 units will count towards the 180 units beyond GIR, and students will need to take another HASS subject .
4Depending on your 2-A Concentration and 15-1 Concentration, up to 2 courses( 24 units) can be used towards both your 15- 1 and 2-A degrees, provided these subjects form an intellectually coherent 2-A Concentration and 15- 1 Concentration
52-A requires students to have 72 units with engineering content in their concentration. Refer to Course2-A Degree–MechE Undergrad.
6Joint Course 15 HASS subjects (15.0201J, 15.037J, 15.039J, 15.238J, and 15.302J) can count toward the HASS requirement and also towards the minimum three Course 15-1 Concentration Electives provided these subjects form an intellectually coherent 15-1 Concentration.
