Magda is a strategic and accomplished leader with extensive experience in executive education, higher education, and global business operations. She currently serves as Assistant Director at MIT Sloan Executive Education, where she oversees key administrative functions, drives operational excellence, and leads a high-performing support team to deliver exceptional service and seamless execution across five distinct teams within Executive Education.

Recognized for her ability to optimize systems, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, and lead with both precision and vision, she brings deep expertise in operational strategy, program administration, budgeting, vendor management, and process improvement. She is a trusted partner to senior leaders and stakeholders, known for building effective teams, enhancing organizational efficiency, and advancing mission-driven priorities through thoughtful leadership and execution.

Prior to MIT Sloan, she held a leadership-facing role at Northeastern University, contributing to MBA admissions operations, supporting international student engagement, and driving administrative excellence across multiple academic programs. Earlier in her career, she founded and led Cause & Effect Event Planners in Boston, managing client strategy, operations, and end-to-end event execution. She also held several progressive leadership roles in sales and trade marketing at Lafayette Fabrics in Bogotá, Colombia, where she expanded international markets and consistently delivered strong business results while driving market growth initiatives.

Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, she holds an MBA with a concentration in supply chain and international business, a Graduate Certificate in business administration from Northeastern University, and an Executive Certificate in management and leadership from MIT. She also holds certifications in event planning and marketing and is fluent in Spanish.
