15.335 Leading with Impact: A Social Impact Lab | January 25-28, 2027
Led by Dr. Makeeba McCreary
Bring what you know. Leave with what you didn't expect to learn.
Leading with Impact (LWI), previously Organizations Lab, puts your expertise to work where it is needed most. Business schools owe future leaders a chance to create change in their own backyard, and LWI is MIT Sloan's answer. Teams of students partner with Greater Boston organizations working on housing and homelessness, youth development, education, criminal justice reform, human trafficking, sports, health and wellness, food access, workforce development, economic mobility, and arts and culture. Each organization brings a problem it has identified. In just a few days, your team turns what you learn into a tangible result the organization can use right away.
This is an exchange. You bring your skills and your questions, and you will learn as much as you give. The guest leaders you'll learn from include a global brand builder formerly of Nike and Jordan Brand, the CEO of one of New England's largest service organizations, and directors who govern public companies, universities, schools, and community institutions. Round-robin coaching from the New Commonwealth Fund, Social Innovation Forum, and Institute for Nonprofit Practice guides every team.
