MIT Better World (Sustainability)
Toward a Sustainable Future
Securing a sustainable future for humankind depends on rapid, far-reaching efforts to slow climate change and mitigate its harsh impacts. For decades, MIT students, researchers, and faculty members have pioneered the scientific understanding of climate change and helped advance technological responses, from alternative energy to batteries to fusion. As we accelerate this work—and as the climate crisis highlights and intensifies social inequities around the globe—MIT is also pursuing inclusive dialogue and a broad array of policy innovations to help drive action, at scale and in time to make a difference.
Register today and join us online on Tuesday, March 16, to hear insights from Institute leaders, faculty, alumni, and students who are mobilizing to understand and address these challenges and pursue a healthy future for our planet and for humanity.
Following the main session, you will be able to choose from a variety of concurrent, interactive breakout sessions including "Choose Your Own Climate Future" with Jason Jay, PhD ’10, Senior Lecturer and Director of the MIT Sloan Sustainability Initiative at MIT Sloan.
Programming will be closed captioned from 7:00–8:30 pm ET.
