How is the Evening MBA different from part-time programs?
The Evening MBA is an in-person, cohort-based program, meaning all students take their coursework together on the same schedule and complete the degree at the same pace as full-time students (in 22 months). In contrast to comparable programs, on-campus learning makes up a large majority of the academic experience, with limited online coursework. Being on campus gives Evening MBA students access to the broader MIT ecosystem while creating opportunities to build lasting connections with smart, driven peers.

I am non-US citizen/permanent resident currently working and living in the US on work visa status (such as H-1B, TN, O-1, etc). Can I enroll in the Evening MBA Program?
It may be possible for individuals on visa status in the US to pursue the Evening MBA program as long as their visa status would allow for study at the same time they are meeting the term of their visa status. Individuals would need to confirm eligibility with their visa sponsor. MIT requires a letter from the visa sponsor/immigration attorney that the individual can study full-time as they continue working full-time under the terms of their employment visa status.

MIT will not sponsor student visas for the Evening MBA Program at this time. It is important to note that working in the US, even remotely for a foreign employer, without an appropriate visa could be a violation of US regulations, so it is advisable to speak with an immigration attorney who may be able to suggest appropriate visa options based on the type of employment and company you have.
