MIT Sloan Sustainability Initiative
Our sustainability internship programs empower students to take action.
By enabling our students to take on sustainability-oriented internships, they can work with leading organizations toward more effective and sustainable uses of natural and human resources, creating value for business and society.

The Sustainability Initiative, in partnership with the MIT Sloan Career Development Office, identifies high-caliber sustainability-oriented internships and provides financial support to enable students to take sustainability-focused roles. The internships are summer-long positions for first-year MBA's, with the grants made possible by donations from alumni and a match by participating companies.
Positions are shared with students in February, and are accessible to MIT Sloan MBA's via the MySloan CDO "Career Central" portal.

The MIT Sloan Social Impact Fund fellowships provide funding to a limited number of students taking on important societal challenges during their summer internship period. Students apply in April of their first year, and awards are announced in early May. Funding is provided by the Dean’s Office and contributions from classmates. These internships are self-sourced.
My internship enabled me to strengthen my data analysis, project management, product and service development, and communication skills - all of which will be valuable to my career.
