The MIT Data Analytics Industry Consortium connects industry leaders with MIT’s cutting-edge research, top student talent, and unique opportunities to shape the future of analytics education and practice. If your organization would like to join, please contact Michelle Li (limi@mit.edu), Director of Business Analytics, for more information.
About the MIT Data Analytics Industry Consortium
Companies who join the MIT Data Analytics Industry Consortium will be invited to appoint one senior representative to the MIT Analytics Advisory Board. Board members can:
- Influence MIT’s analytics program strategy, curriculum, capstone projects, and educational direction
- Gain insight into latest research in AI, industry needs and emerging technologies
- Propose and support non-profit and social impact AI projects, helping align student work with mission-driven organizations and broader societal goals
- Benefit from peer-to-peer interaction with leaders from tech, consulting, finance,
healthcare, retail, and more
Additionally, companies will have access to MIT Sloan's talent pipeline with complimentary invitations to the Analytics Industry Consortium Networking Night, MIT Analytics Speaker Series, New York City Analytics Networking Night, MIT Sloan Spring Career Fair, and the MIT Analytics Capstone Showcase.
Included in the Industry Consortium fee is one MIT Analytics Capstone Project, which is a rigorous, 7-month course where teams of graduate students in the Master of Business Analytics program collaborate with industry partners to solve real-world data science and analytics challenges. In lieu of a Capstone Project, a Company Partner may sponsor two named Analytics Fellows.
Companies also have priority preference to host one Analytics Lab each Fall and one Generative AI Lab each Spring. They also receive the option to host one additional Capstone Project for a discounted rate and two additional named Fellowships, as well as discounts for company members on MIT Executive Education courses.
