MIT Commencement 2026 Celebration Schedule 

Commencement 2026 celebrations will take place during the week of May 25, highlighted by the OneMIT Commencement Ceremony (all members of the class of 2026 are invited) on Thursday, May 28 at Killian Court. The MIT Undergraduate Ceremony will take place Friday, May 29. See below for details on other commencement celebrations or see the full MIT Commencement schedule.

MIT Commencement 2026 Celebrations

  • OneMIT Commencement

    Thursday, May 28, 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

    All members of the Class of 2026 are invited to the OneMIT Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, May 28, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This event — comprising speeches, turning of the Brass Rat, and singing of the School Song — is for graduates of all degree programs in all Schools and the College. Lisa T. Su, SB '90, SM '91, PhD '94, chair and CEO of Advanced Micro Devices, is the OneMIT Commencement Ceremony speaker. Participating graduates are eligible for four (4) guest tickets.

    3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

  • Undergraduate Ceremony

    All undergraduates receiving a Bachelor's degree are invited to the Undergraduate Ceremony on Friday, May 29, 2026. Names will be read and photos taken; graduates will cross the stage at this ceremony. Participating graduates are eligible for four (4) guest tickets. Tickets are digital and will be released to participating candidates at the end of May. Graduates and their guests are also invited to the Johnson Athletics Center and Kresge Oval for a reception immediately following the Undergraduate Ceremony. 

    10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
