Three from MIT Sloan on Forbes “30 Under 30” lists
Three alumni were named Jan. 4 to the 2016 Forbes “30 Under 30” lists, which recognize the work of outstanding young people in 20 different fields, from art and style to health care.
A vice president at Morgan Stanley, Birnbaum, 29, is chief operating officer of the bank’s U.S. credit trading division, where he oversees 100 bankers. At MIT Sloan, he earned a bachelor’s degree in management science, with a concentration in finance, and in electrical engineering and computer science.
Adam Elmachtoub, PhD ’14
Elmachtoub, 27, is an assistant professor at Columbia University, where his research “focuses on designing new approaches for supply chain and revenue management,” according to his website. At MIT Sloan, he earned a PhD in operations research and was an MIT Presidential Fellow.
Zitzmann, 29, is co-founder and CEO of Kamcord, a leading mobile video game live streaming company. The company is backed by $25 million in venture capital funding. At MIT, he earned a bachelor’s degree in management science and in electrical engineering and computer science.
